The industry staple Windows Mobile-focused Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine has just announced that it will soon be publishing its final issue and suspending print publication. The magazine's Web site will live on, however. In the publisher's announcement about the final issue, Hal Goldstein writes about the final issue:

"We are working to make it a super reference guide, the best Windows Mobile issue we've ever done. It will include winners of the 2008 Best Software Awards, reviews of the hottest new Windows Mobile Smartphones, a special Entertainment section, the latest in GPS software, a mini How-to Guide with new tips and how-to’s, a guide to the best Internet resources, best accessories, best free stuff,  our device comparison chart, plus other surprises. All current subscribers will receive this issue. It will be on newsstands in November."

Sounds like one to pick up!

This is so sad - as you know I am one of the judges of this year's competition. I have really enjoyed evaluating and finding new products, and I was even looking forward to doing it again in future years.

This is a shame....I guess that is why I have not gotten my subscription in the mail...this is going to be a great lose!!

Well today I just recieved in the mail the "iphone life" edition....I thumbed through it and threw it on the pile to go out with the trash. I wont be renewing my subscription that is for sure.....TRAGEDY! bye bye Smartphone & Pocket PC Mag. I will save my stack of classic mags...to review and stroll down memory lane...........
